All I Have is a Dream…My Laptop Died

I was working on a project, trying to get ahead when I noticed my laptop was hot to the touch. I said to myself as soon as I finish this one last thing, I’ll turn it off to let it cool. As soon as I finished the thought in my head, “sizzle, pop, blink” black screen. I didn’t panic, I figured it just overheated and once it cooled down I could turn it back on and finish my project. So about a half hour later, I pushed the power button on my laptop and…. nothing. Still not panicking, I figured I would remove the battery for a few seconds and that should work (it did once before when my laptop cut off on me suddenly) so I removed the battery waited a few seconds, put the battery back in, pushed the power button and….still nothing. Panic is creeping in. I text my IT friend to see if there was a remedy. Maybe it was the battery and I needed to get a new one. I was told the laptop should still work off the power cord, so my battery theory was shot down. One last ditch effort to will my laptop back to life, I left it alone for the rest of the day and figured it just needed a full rest to reboot itself. First thing the next morning, I run to my laptop knowing that it would be rebooted and be ready for use. I pushed the power button and held it down this time and, and, and….time to let go.
